Lt. Dr. D. S. Career Highlights and Contributions:
1995: Awarded The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for exceptional performance in NCC activities. Earned NCC “B” and “C” certificates and participated in the prestigious Republic Day Camp in New Delhi (1996).
2018: Took the initiative to establish the NCC unit at SPSU, leading to the allocation of a 53-cadet platoon of the Army Wing by DG NCC under 10 RAJ Battalion.
February 2018: Successfully completed 90 days of rigorous military training and was commissioned as a Lieutenant by DG NCC under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. He was inducted as an Associate NCC Officer to oversee NCC training at SPSU.
November 2022: Represented Rajasthan Directorate as part of the All-India Shivaji Trail Trek Camp in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
March 2023: Achieved Alpha Grade (77%) during the NCC Refresher Course at Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur.
June 2023: Received commendation from Air Commodore L. K. Jain, Deputy Director General (DDG), NCC Rajasthan Directorate, for his exceptional service and contributions to the NCC.
January 2024: Secured the allocation of 80 cadet vacancies for the Army Wing at SPSU under 2 RAJ R & V Regt. NCC Navania.
July 2024: Honored with commendation by Air Commodore Satyendra Sharma, DDG, NCC Rajasthan Directorate, for his exemplary service and accomplishments.
September 2024: Served as the Contingent Commander for Rajasthan Directorate NCC at the All-India Thal Sainik Camp held at Delhi Cantt.
November 2024: Nominated for the All-India Sardar Patel Narmada Trek, representing Rajasthan Directorate at Rajpipla, Gujarat.
Impact and Legacy:
Over 22 students under his mentorship have been commissioned as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
Organized blood donation camps, leading to the collection of more than 1,200 units of blood from cadets, students, and staff over the past 12 years.
Spearheaded community development programs in four adopted villages near the university, fostering holistic growth and social upliftment.
